Hey Ladies, Am currently still reading the lost boy. But man I had a lot of fun last Thursday. All that voting and the game. WOW I can tell you guys this you guys are my favorite class lol..I made some really good friends in this class.. So far am almost finish with the lost boy. Today was fun in class we did some voting ;) it's great to learn how to sort out the last two of the subjects lol.. for some reason we all couldn't make up our minds and of course since they have pregnant people in our class including me, there are certain things we would not agree, we all have our differences but we have to learn how to work together for the sake of the pregnant and non pregnant..lol... let the next debate begin in our next class time, see you all there :)

Erin has help many people in hinkley this lady is one special person a great mother and potty mouth,but she got a job in the law firm with no experience. And shes down a lot of good in her time and 2million dollars worth.wow

4/19/12 April Salas on being distracted by Dr.Baza-Cruz :)

Reading a little bit more of Dave's dad in the hospital and him and the mother having their same conflict. ugh,. what can I say I was more intrigued when Dr. Baza-Cruz walked in I felt really nervous for some reason. But I am glad that she took the time out to see what we learned in class and I am amazed that she was interested in us as students. I am still willing to browse through her library in her class. Hoping I find the books I would love to read :)

Iv'e read a book on grief and i think people should deal with there grief in there own way instead of seeking  therapy.some time solitude is better than telling someone who tries to understand your situation.

Ed gave erin these file to look at them and she just started investigating the claims and to her surprise there were medical bill in the file.what Erin did was great work for the people of Hinkley. And she did it because she cared.

Erin got it an accident an she had to see her lawyer to get the guy to pay out for her injuries but that didn't go well and she was pissed i would be pissed my self. So she went to his office and asked him for a job but he was speechless but he did hire erin.

4/18/2012 April Salas - A man named Dave

eww I can't believe he visit his mother, I know he just wants to make it easier for his father to go with his last happy thoughts but still I dislike that lady. And she still has the nerve to snap back into her old phase of scaring him through her angry voice and threats. But I do like the part where he starts to remember being a preschooler and his mother making them learn how to catch a lifeline :) Atleast the poor soul could remember some decent family parts from his past!

I feel super sad now that Dave's dad is in the hospital. My dad passed away when I was 12 so just reading this part kinda brought back memories and seeing my father lay in bed and under a coma. I can imagine all the pain and thoughts that run through Dave's mind. It's honestly too sad for me to even think of. I don't know much to say because it's a personal emotion I really can't bare to put on my mind :(

APRIL 10 - 18, 2012

Sorry guys I been out of the BLOGGING world. But am back. Last time I left you guys I was wrapping up my book Free Falling. I finished that book. It was so romantic. They hated each other then in the end fell back in love with each other.  After reading that book I went straight into The Child Called It. OMG. It may have been like my 5th time reading it. But I still had to cry. How could you all be reading that book. :((((((. I lost my son when he was only 3days old. Reading this book because I didn't read it since I lost my son. It made me furious at his mother. OMG. To treat a child like that you are so KILLING me inside. I MISS MY son  and I will do anything to have him back. I will treat my son like hes nothing but my PRECIOUS cargo. I hate when mothers just act like there kids are just BAD kids. Well I finished that book in like 2 hours sorry everyone. I am currently reading The Lost boy and OMG again I cry every time. But its ok. I will fill you guys in more tomorrow.

I really don't agree with her parents for punishing her for not being perfect the way the mothers Thinks god's ways are. but in a way I do because I understand that every parent just want whats best for their child and everyone is different and has different beliefs, but the thing is don't expect your child to be perfect because nobody is and always expect the unexpected when it come to teenagers because life takes us by surprise.

I am truly upset, it wasn't really a student showcase. None of us got to show our work! Enough said. But thanks to Mrs.Q for making us feel a little bit more special back at class for our hard work. Mmm dinner was good too and the pics ;) Oh and of course the conference was very helpful for our college planning but if we would of showed our work it would of been better!!!

Today we prepared for our projects and speech's for the conference. Even though ours wont be until thursday Mrs. Q had a talk with us and we ran though what all our parts are. I kept talking with my other classmates about their poetry speech, and Leslie got to read hers to us, it was very touching in some sad way.

Worked on my project and re wrote my poetry. I am getting nervous for us all. Even though all I have to do is let some students try out our assessments. I really want to see if these kids can read and get most of the answers correct. Lol

I want to join the airforce!! Darn you Dave, just kidding you go Dave. Even though your only a cook who cares. As long as you joined the airforce by a little inch is all that mattered. you got your life where you wanted it to go. I wish one day I can join the airforce and I don't want to be a cook but I want to start off somewhere!

I read from pages 99 to 151. I honestly always fell asleep then woke back up every hour reading this book. I wanted to really know what was happening next just to see if my feeling was somewhat right on everything that was happening. The old man with all those great books better give me some books. Lol. I want to see his books of knowledge, I bet he has great old books.

Okay I don't know why my post isn't up for this date but The lost boy is one great book. I am so thankful that Dave found those few people he can click with. There is a God and he is great. I am going reading the whole thing kinda fast now. But I like going back and rereading them.

3/19-3/24 Spring Break By: April Salas

During my spring break I had to work on a project for my other class, I was so stressed out that I really didn't feel like reading. And on top of that my daughter and I was super sick. I sounded like a guy for a few days..lol. But I got my project done and I just had to wait on the approval from my other teacher. I missed Mrs. Q reading to us and having our silent reading can't wait to go back to class.

Yesterday, I spent my day doing mother duties.  I will be moving to another house soon so I wanted to get rid of stuffs we no longer use and clothes my kids and I outgrew.

I received a text from Mrs.Q and she wants all of us to wear our T-shirts, our poems and speeches and posters presentable for Thursday April 19, so ladies mark your calendars and be ready!  We will be presenting for Dr.Baza Cruz and maybe AHS.  We are almost there ladies we are so proud of each other and the accomplishments we have done.

After a whole stressful week of exams from my Nutrition class and projects to do for the Adult High Conference, I went out to enjoy some fresh air with my little family.  At night, I attempted to read the novel "Five People You Meet In Heaven" but figured I'd read anoher novel. From the beginning, the book didn't grab my attention. Enjoy your weekend ladies!...see you all Monday!

March 28 - April 10, 2012

Just a little recap since my previous post: Dave divorced Patsy because they didn't get along and he couldn't trust her, al though Stephen was living with Patsy, he would constantly visit and stay with his father.

My fourth novel, I'M DONE!!! This novel took me a while to finish up because I had numerous projects to do for the Adult High Conference/Fair, help my 3 kids with their projects over Spring Break and al though I didn't read my novel I was reading my Nutrition book as I prepare and study for my test that happened on Tuesday and Thursday. Was proud of myself on Tuesday's test because I only made 1 mistake and thought all the reading and studying paid off. 

 

Anyhow, Dave got engaged to Marsha. Marsha was someone Dave could confine in, someone he trusted, someone he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. It's hard to be in a relationship where trust is an issue.

Today was just a crazy day for me, getting everything ready to present my Speech and poem I was so nervous and just as it was almost time I was wondering were going to met at I called Mrs. Q and was told that we weren't going to be presenting today due to the wrong timing and we didn't even have any time at all.
 I was just like OK but kinda of upset because I know we all worked hard even if we were nervous we were still gonna do are presentation and give it all we got. But at the end of it all we enjoyed are class time by taking pictures of all are Projects and are T-shirts that we've bought and we also got to hear Dolores Brown give her Speech and I think it was just Awesome! anyways thank god it's back to silent reading about to start my new book.

Yesterday is the beginning of the conference. Al though, there wasn't anyone sitting or standing by their designated tables, our Student Success instructor made us sit right across our table so incase someone comes to our table to read or look at our work we are fast enough to approach them and talk to them. Here is April explaining to other students about the work we do, while D. Brown reads our fliers and I take pictures.

Today's plan didn't go as planned!...was kinda upset because we didn't get to present all our hard work. We were able to take pictures with all our projects, all wore our "I heart Reading" shirts, and listened to D. Brown do a speech about Success!...awesome time in class ladies!

today in class we were preparing for Thursday and I was kinda nervous for my part but thankfully I get to just get straight to the point and read a few poems in front of everyone that's better then saying a whole speech and reading a poem. but other then me being nervous I'm kind of excited I want to be the first one and just get it over with when Thursday comes.

April 9, 2012 Chapters 32-33

Mexico I've been there and not visiting any time soon.  Actually I got food poisiong when we went on vacation with my husband.  My friend says don't drink the water, so I ordered Pina Calada, bad choice also.  Anyways, Maya now 15 was visiting her dad and they went to Mexico for a trip, she enjoyed herself but had to drive home because her dad was drunk and has no idea about driving.  I remembered my older sister who didn't know how to drive was forced to drive because my dad was drunk, boy, those were good old days, compared to now, no chance at all, she'll be put in jail....lol.  Oops next time readers.

Welcome readers, I guess World War11 made it during Maya's time period as well, she was devestated about the news she really thought America was going to be bombed.  At this same period her mother got married and settled down.  Maya studied hard that she had two scholarsips to California Labor School.  She loves writing poems and drama, she and Bailey would recite together sometimes.  Oops next time readers.

April 7, 2012 Chapters 28 -29

Momma guided Maya back to her mom, whom was not really up to seeing her.  Maya's mom was not really overjoyed seeing Maya, if Maya had a choice she'll stay back in Arkansas.  How can women do that to their children,  having someone else raise your children.   I hate the fact that some woman can not bare children while others give birth with no difficulties.  Anyhow,  Bailey stayed with his uncle back in Arkasas because momma did not have enough money for all three of them to take the trip.  Oops next time readers
