Dave had a good memory of his mother at one point. He remembered they were like the Brady Bunch. The Russian River was his favorite memory because that's when he felt he was warm and safe in his mother's arm.The drinking changed all that and everything fell apart. He knew by the way his mother dressed if it's going to be a good day or bad day. If she came out with make-up on and all dressed up, she usually has a smile on her face. If not, then the beating and tormenting occures at any given moment.
