Permission to marry from the Naval authority did not stop Eddie and Mariquita to wedd. Eddie was furious, the intentions of the U.S. Government for the Guamanians to give up their identity. Despite this matter, they were blessed with Chris born September 17, 1940, 11 months later beautiful daughter Helen. Then it happen December 8, 1941, the bombing and separation of families, and the capture of Eddie, a prisoner of war. This war shattered and change their lives.
