FEBRUARY 7,12. APRIL SALAS Chapters 6 & 7

Today we went on discussing about accreditation and turning in our assignments on time.
We also went through Chapters 7 and 8, what I adored about Mariquita is that she held her pride no matter how the situation intensified.
Also the first time in Guamanian history after 250 years midnight mass wasn't celebrated, because of their husbands, fathers or relatives being captivated and held prison.
I guess just like up to this era we still won't have celebrations if someone of our family is sick or taken by death or off island. Our culture is still somewhat the same as before just a little bit different.
I was excited to hear that "Papa" was released, but it was sad to know that "Eddie" was sent to Japan.
I also got interested on the end of Chapter 7 when "Eddie" was wondering why Mariquita had called him "Ed" ?. I too would like to know why. I can't wait to read for Mrs.Q to read us the next Chapter.

  1. I agree also April, our customs has not all the way changed, I have learned all I can before the passing of my mom, actually she told me the hardships of what our ancestors endured, and yes, Mariquita's spirit remained strong her love for Eddie and her children she embraced.
