Feburary 7 2012
On Feb.7 chapters 7 and 8 really got me thinking about 1941. How terrible people where living, dead body's around some where wounded. It was just crazy! Also on December 25 1941 was one of the first times in 250 years that they haven't had mid night mass at the cathedral. The cathedral was just pack with many prisoners. People suffering because of the Japanese invasion her on Guam. Also on January 2, 1942 Mariquita Chris, and Helen went to see Eddie. As they saw him they waited for the guards to release him to his family they finally spend some time with each other. Eddie finally held helen for the first time. Eddie says tippy you look so beautiful today, shes smiles. Not so long from them visiting him, Eddie has to be ship to Japan. Mariquita was sad and hurt but she kept her pride as time went by.

Mariquita made me mad.How could she ask her husband (Eddie)is it that bad? He was captured and imprisoned and all the other villagers. To top it all of, Eddie hasn't seen his daughter from the time she was born.
ReplyDeleteWhen my mom told me stories about this war I felt her pain and could imagine the suffering it cost her. She was 16 when that war began, I pray I don't live to see any war in my generation.
